THE five modules

Five comprehensive modules, each one building on the last.

WHAT IS the finance engineer course?

The Finance Engineer Course teaches accountants how to build with AI, using the judgement and experience they already have.

Across five modules and 15 chapters, you will learn the importance of stitching context with your financial data, how to build and review an effective Claude Skill, how to keep controls intact when an agent prepares the work, how MCPs change your tech stack, and what accounting judgment is worth once the repetitive work is automated.

Chapters include written lessons, video walkthroughs from finance engineers who have actually automated a workflow, interactive tools, and quizzes. Finish all five modules, take the final test, and you earn five CPE credits, a Certified Finance Engineer certificate, and automated workflows you built yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the course free?

Yes. All five modules, every interactive tool, the final test, and the CPE credits are free.

Who is the course for?

Controllers, accounting managers, and staff accountants who have been handed an AI mandate, or who can see a mandate coming. The course assumes you know accounting and does not assume you know engineering.

Do I earn real CPE credit?

Yes. Completing all five modules and passing the final test earns 5.5 CPE credits, issued through our accredited CPE provider, Illumeo. We report your completion and store your record for five years.

How long does the course take?

About five hours of instruction, and you do not have to finish in one sitting. Your progress saves, so you can complete a chapter over lunch and start the next one next week.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Every build in the course happens in plain language. If you can write a clear set of instructions for a new staff accountant, you can build a Skill.

Do I need to be a Numeric customer?

No. The course teaches you to build with tools you already have access to. The course only points to Numeric where Numeric is the right tool.
