Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a Numeric implementation take?
While it is entirely dependent on your accounting needs and current tech stack, a Numeric implementation generally takes 3-6 months. We intentionally take the time to understand your data and accounting logic, solve for edge cases, and enable the rest of your team so you eliminate work and save time later.
How much time does our team need to spend with you?
We know your team is already handling a lot of work every month. Numeric will handle the heavy lifting, including data schema mapping, workflow build outs, and user training. Your team will be needed for data requests, business context, logic validation and key milestone reviews.
However, if you’re able to invest more time in learning the tool, it will feel more powerful and change management will be easier.
Our data is pretty disorganized. How do you handle data cleanup?
We firmly believe in “garbage in, garbage out”. It is the #1 reason why ERP migrations are held up or fail. As part of the early implementation stages, we work directly with you to validate your data and make sure it is ready to be ingested by the FDP.
When can we decommission are current ERP?
You can leave your legacy ERP as soon as we migrate all of your financial records! Customers generally spend the first couple months on their existing ERP and the FDP to validate that no edge cases are missing in the early stages. However, this is completely optional and not necessary.
What does support look like?
We don’t disappear or take days to reply after implementing the FDP. Your Implementation Manager stays with you after go-live. From answering questions and notifying you of updates to QBRs and occasional check-ins, we make sure that you feel supported, without the overhead.
Do we have to implement this all at the same time?
Numeric is built as a modular platform so you can deploy at your team’s pace. Most customers begin with one or two products to solve immediate bottlenecks, then expand across our suite as they see value and gain momentum.
We prefer working with a consultant or partner. Can they be involved in the implementation process?
While we believe the best outcomes happen when Numeric’s team leads the core data hygiene and setup, we are open to partnering with your chosen advisory firm or consultant. We can involve your consultant to lead specific workstreams and will map out what those joint workflows look like during the evaluation.
